Some key points to remember:
Distributor Route Code
The Distributor Route Code is a three digit number allocated to each individual distributor. This is your unique identifier and this route code will appear on the Daily Route Delivery Manifest and the retailer key parcels allocated to you.
Any outlet you are supplying magazines to, will be listed under your Route Code. Ensure you are aware of your Route Code. In consolidated sheds, the GGA shed representative will sort all of your magazines and products and deliver into you bay/area. Please ensure your Route Code is displayed clearly in your bay (where possible on the wall) to assist the GGA shed rep.
Magazine Sorting at sheds
GGA reps have only been appointed at consolidated sheds, where they will sort into your bay/area for you. Please so not approach the GGA reps while sorting as this will only delay the process. Once the GGA rep has supplied copies to your bay/area please check all stock off against the Daily Route Delivery Manifest which will be provided on the night.
For metro sheds that are not consolidated, you will be required to sort your own copies from the pallets of stock that will be delivered. Your Daily Route Delivery Manifest will provide a list of the products that each retailer requires.
For country sheds, you will be required to sort your own products too.
Delivery of stock via WAN
As previously explained, key parcels will come on pallets, layered by plastic dividers for each Route Code. Pallets will be labelled to highlight the Route Codes contained within each pallet.
Supply of bulk parcels will be presented mixed on pallets and will require the distributor to sort through these. There is a summary on the last page of your Daily Route Delivery Manifest that shows by title, how many additional bulks you require.
Daily Route Delivery Manifest
This document contains a listing by retailer of key parcels and bulks by publication to be delivered.
This manifest will provide distributors with a guide for sorting and delivery. As mentioned above, the last page of the Daily Route Delivery Manifest contains a summary of total key parcels, total number of bulks and a listing of those additional bulks by title. For this Sunday night the manifest will be delivered to you with the magazine stock.
Consignment Note
This document contains a one duplicate copy per retailer and details what key parcels and bulks by publication are to be delivered.
Each delivery line on the manifest will have a duplicated consignment note. The duplicate consignment note is to be torn off and left with the products at the Retail Outlet. There will be a duplicated consignment note that lists the all products, per Distributor. This is a total summary of the products you have to deliver and covers the entire manifest. It details the total additional bulks you should have, what title of bulks you should have per product, and the total amount of key parcels listed on your manifest.
Special Delivery Instructions
Please ignore any Special Delivery Instructions on the Daily Route Delivery Manifest. These instructions related to TOLL delivery drivers and are yet to be removed and then updated with WAN instructions. Unless you have already made special arrangements with your retailers, magazines are to be delivered to the same location as you deliver their newspapers to.
Again, thank you to everyone involved. WAN are looking forward to receiving some feedback to ensure the delivery process works for all parties involved.
Keep up the good work!
